These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “Author”, “Customer”) and Shodhmitra Education and Research (“Shodhmitra”, “we”, “us”). By accessing our website (site.shodhmitra.com), purchasing books, ordering academic services, or submitting manuscripts to our journals and edited volumes, you explicitly agree to these terms.
1. Scope of Services & Products
Shodhmitra operates an educational, research consulting, and publishing platform offering:
Journal Publication: Open-access scholarly journals (including Wisdom Vortex: International Journal of Social Science and Humanities), handling peer reviews, editorial curation, DOI registration, and digital indexing.
Book Publication: Publication of academic monographs, edited chapter books with ISBN, conference volumes, and reference texts.
Book Sales (E-Commerce): Direct sale and distribution of academic books, literature, monographs, and edited volumes in both physical print editions and digital e-book formats.
Academic Consulting & Reports: Plagiarism similarity detection consulting, manuscript proofreading, academic editing, and advisory services.
2. Book Purchases, Pricing & Stock Availability
Pricing: All book prices and publication fees are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR). Shipping charges and taxes (if applicable) are itemized at checkout.
Order Acceptance: We reserve the right to limit order quantities, refuse orders, or cancel transactions due to pricing errors, non-availability of stock, or delivery restrictions. If payment was completed before cancellation, a full refund will be initiated.
Digital Goods (E-Books): E-books purchased on our platform are licensed for personal, educational, non-commercial use only. Unauthorized distribution, reproduction, or public sharing is strictly prohibited.
3. Academic Submissions & Editorial Independence
No Guaranteed Acceptance: Payment of any submission or evaluation fee does not guarantee publication. Every manuscript submitted to our journals or edited volumes must undergo double-blind peer review and editorial assessment. The final decision of the Editorial Board is independent and final.
Originality & Ethical Warranties: Authors represent and warrant that all submitted papers, chapters, and materials are their original works, have not been published previously, are not under review elsewhere, and do not infringe on any third-party copyrights or ethical standards.
Plagiarism & Retraction: In case of post-publication discovery of severe plagiarism, data manipulation, or copyright infringement, Shodhmitra reserves the full right to retract the article or chapter in accordance with international publication ethics guidelines, with no liability for refunding paid fees.
4. Intellectual Property & Author Rights
Copyright of Publications: Authors retain copyright of their research under applicable Open Access licenses (such as Creative Commons CC-BY), granting Shodhmitra Education and Research an exclusive/non-exclusive perpetual license to publish, display, print, sell, archive, and distribute the work.
Website Content: All website text, design elements, graphics, logos, and software belong to Shodhmitra Education and Research and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
5. Payment Gateway & Security
Payments are processed via secure, encrypted payment gateway partners (Razorpay).
Shodhmitra shall not be liable for losses resulting from banking server downtimes, unauthorized card usage on the user’s end, or third-party payment gateway disruptions.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shodhmitra Education and Research shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from delays in external journal indexation, postal transit delays, or temporary website outages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount actually paid by the user for the specific product or service in question.
7. Governing Law & Exclusive Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, your use of the website, and all commercial transactions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes, claims, or legal actions arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.
